Privacy
The short version: your seating chart stays on your device, and there is no account to create.
What we store
Nothing about your chart is sent to us. The chart — including guest names — is kept in your browser's own storage on the device you are using, so it is there when you return. Clearing your browser data removes it.
Your theme choice (light or dark) is remembered the same way, in your browser's local storage.
Share links
Copy link puts the whole chart into the link itself, in the part of a URL that browsers never send to a server. Anyone with that link can open the chart, so treat it like the chart itself: send it only to people you want to see the guest list.
Advertising
SeatPaper is free and supported by Google AdSense. Advertisements are served by Google, which may set its own cookies or device identifiers to select, measure and limit the ads you see, as described in Google's own privacy policy. You can turn off personalised advertising for your browser in Google Ads Settings, and any content blocker will stop the ads entirely without affecting the chart maker.
Two ad positions exist on the home page — one below the tool and one inside the article. They are never above the tool and never inside the editor.
Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics 4 to measure how many people visit and which pages they read. It sets cookies for that purpose, and it records page-level data only — never the contents of your seating chart, which stays on your device. Blocking it with a content blocker has no effect on the tool.
